It’s been a minute since I’ve recorded a solo episode! Today’s episode is going to be a bit of a ‘catch up and chat’ kind of one. Really, just chatting about this crazy thing called LIFE that we’re all navigating.

I’m coming to you on the other side of a trip where I had the absolute JOY of facilitating a retreat with my good friend, Kaitlin Cox. This was a rare gift that I didn’t know I needed, and goodness, did it fill my cup. Kaitlin and I connected through the Ascend retreat, and she was previously on the podcast (make sure to check out her episode for her full story). After going through a season of burnout and working through her own grief and healing journey, Kaitlin felt lost as to how she fit into this world. She knew something wasn’t quite right, but wasn’t sure where to go, or what to do next.

I can’t even tell you how many times I hear this from the women I work with, and I’ve absolutely experienced it in my own life, too.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about coming home: politics, purpose, and the ripple effect. After helping Kaitlin with her retreat and hearing the raw and powerful stories from the women there, I was reminded that every single one of us has gone through ‘something’. We’ve all experienced some kind of trauma or hardship that isn’t visible to the outside world, but there is MAGIC when we come together, and share what’s on our hearts!

I know this to be the ‘ripple effect’, and I’ve seen it play out in beautiful ways in my own life. I’ve chosen to take action and heal in ways I never thought possible; this has radiated to incredible women like Kaitlin, and the work that she’s doing is radiating to the women in HER circle!

It may sound a bit cheesy, but if you want to help people and make the world a better place, it starts with YOU. You heal the world by healing yourself, and you change the world by changing yourself.

Something else I was reminded of (especially as we just came out of a recent presidential election), is not fitting in a ‘box’ that society has created. Yes, it actually is ‘normal’ and beautiful to not fully align with one particular political party. Instead of thinking that those who think or vote differently from us are ‘wrong’ or ‘misinformed’, we should be willing to have conversations. We need to learn WHY they see the world the way that they do – without judgment or hate!

I believe that a collective AWAKENING is happening everywhere around the world. Whether it’s the food system, religious institutions, your profession, or even within your motherhood journey, change is happening. We are disconnecting and untangling ourselves from the old patterns and stories that were ingrained in us. We’re asking questions, and actually practicing empathy with one another.

Now, more than ever, I know my purpose is rooted in healing. It’s to bring not only myself, but you, and women as a collective HOME. We are getting curious and expanding and aligning and unlearning and gosh, SO.MUCH.MORE.

I have so much appreciation and gratitude for this space. We’re choosing to celebrate and embrace each other’s differences. This is our season of coming home, and I’m truly HONORED that you are here!

In this episode about coming home: politics, purpose, and the ripple effect, we cover:

  • The inner knowing we have when something isn’t ‘quite right’, and we’re meant to pursue something different

  • Realizing that every single person is carrying something ‘hard’ that the outside world can’t see

  • The power in what is the ‘ripple effect’ + how I’ve seen this play out in my own life

  • Why making the world a better place actually starts with you and your healing

  • Why it’s beautiful + actually normal to not ‘fit in a box’ and fully align with one political party

  • The collective necessity towards practicing genuine empathy + why I KNOW that my purpose is rooted in healing

  • Understanding that while it’s great to evolve, you are already worthy and ‘enough’, just as you are
