I’m so excited to be joined by my friend, Leah McCloud, on the podcast today!


Leah has actually been on the podcast before – almost exactly 2 years ago, which is wild! Both of our journeys have evolved a LOT over the last 2 years, and it just feels so right to be reunited in this way.


Leah McCloud is a leading Human Design expert and the founder of The Design Of You, a platform dedicated to helping individuals unlock their true potential through a deep understanding of their energy. Leah grew up in a rural town and felt immense pride for her corporate career; for her (and everyone around her), it looked as though she had ‘made it’!


And yet..Leah felt extremely unfulfilled. It was like she had a ‘golden handcuff’ to her career, and her hometown. Ultimately, Leah learned about Human Design (she feels as though it ‘found’ her), and after growing a crazy successful business in Human Design, she said goodbye to her corporate job in 2022!


Sooo much has transpired for Leah since then; from helping students all over the world in her HD certification program, to hosting a top-rated spirituality podcast, building a cutting-edge app, and even writing a book with Chronicle Books on Human Design, she loves breaking down Human Design in a way for people to apply to their daily lives.


In today’s episode, we talk about harnessing your Human Design to create your dream life, true alignment, and ease in your business. Human Design is a self-awareness modality that shows you how energy works in your unique body, and how you can use (and optimize) that energy in your life. When you learn your specific Human Design type and discover how to get into alignment and ‘flow’, SO much is possible – especially as an entrepreneur!


Leah dives into the 5 different Human Design types, as well as the 7 types of ‘authority’ pieces that go hand-in-hand with your intuition. Leah and I are both generators, and for me, my intuition comes through as a ‘gut’ feeling (aka sacral authority).


One of the gifts of Human Design is realizing that YOU are your own guru and expert. When you understand what your specific type is + your authority piece, you’re able to work with your energy, instead of against it. Not everyone is going to experience that ‘gut’ feeling, have a certain willpower to do something, or even lean into their authenticity to find what feels ‘true’ for them. This is going to look different for everyone, but it’s such a key part of Human Design, and can really impact your energy, your business, and your day-to-day life.


Over the last few years, Human Design has been the vehicle for Leah’s dream life creation. It’s really allowed her to ‘come home’ to herself, pay attention to those ‘gut’ feelings, and experience a true softening, in the best kind of way. With all of her incredible resources + her upcoming app and book, she’s now helping to guide you to manifest YOUR dream life! You can really understand yourself, begin the process of ‘deconditioning’, and step into the person you’re meant to become (and deep down, always have been).
