It’s that time of year again…Summer is ending, and back to school season is upon us! I don’t know about you, but my kids are bouncing off the walls, and they’re VERY excited to go back.

Whether your kids go to public school or you’ve decided to homeschool them, you’re probably feeling pressure about what you’re doing, and questioning if it’s the best thing. You’re constantly comparing to what others around you (and on social media) are doing..sound familiar?

I’ve definitely felt this way, and I know I’m not alone here.

This is just ONE example of how we can easily get caught up in what we “should” be doing in our lives – especially when we’re always watching what other people are doing. This then brings an enormous amount of stress, anxiety, and guilt into our lives that we didn’t need in the first place.

In today’s episode, I want to talk with you about how to inventory your “shoulds” to make space for your priorities, so you CAN spend more time doing what you truly love, and less time stressing about stuff that doesn’t really matter. If you’re feeling inspired to make a change in your current season of life, I’m beyond pumped for you, and I would love to help you make that happen! Just know that what works best for you and your family is what REALLY matters, and it doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.

In this episode about how to inventory your “shoulds” to make space for your priorities, we cover:

  • Why messaging around pursuing your dreams and going after your goals can be more overwhelming than encouraging at times

  • Why so many of us spend our days doing things we think we “should” be doing, without a conscious awareness of even WHY we are, or if we really want to

  • Doing a giant brain dump to get every single thing you do on a daily basis down on paper

  • Really looking at everything you’re currently doing and figuring out WHY you’re doing those things

  • Talking with your spouse or partner about everything you’re both doing, and deciding what needs to stay (and what doesn’t)

  • Ranking your daily responsibilities from most important to least important, and really seeing where you’re spending the majority of your time and energy

  • Why every day of our lives shouldn’t be treated like our plates on Thanksgiving
