Today I had the absolute joy of sitting down with my dear friend Kiah as we chatted about defining enough and finding joy in the journey. In this episode, we share our personal relationship with enoughness, the comparison game, and finding contentment. If you too have struggled to feel like you’re doing enough in a given day or season, I know you’ll connect with this episode. Our hope is that this episode brings light to the things that so many of us grapple with on a daily basis and provides tools to both recognize and overcome the mindset traps that keep us feeling overwhelmed and stuck.

Coach Kiah is a California cattle rancher turned life coach and motivational speaker, passionate about empowering others to love themselves deeper and care for themselves better while finding joy in this messy, beautiful journey of life. After battling with her own weight and body image from a young age, she embarked on her own personal health journey losing over 100 pounds, but more importantly, the mental weight she had been carrying for years.

Her superpower is vulnerability and authenticity with a western flair. Growing up as a 6th generation cattle rancher, she has a heart for rural America, the agriculture community, and the western way of life. Being able to intertwine her passions for health, wellness, and positivity into the community she grew up in and beyond is one of her greatest gifts. She loves kitchen dance parties, public speaking, food, cows, traveling, and above all else, people.

In this episode about defining enough, we cover:

  • The power of the thoughts we think about ourselves

  • Ways to combat the feelings of not being enough

  • Contentment is a moving target and sometimes we have to re-learn the same lessons over again in different parts of our lives such as motherhood, marriage, entrepreneurship, and our health journeys

  • The comparison trap we sometimes face and how to overcome

  • Accepting that with each season of life, there will be beautiful and encouraging parts as well as challenging and hard parts
